Overview of the Mercedes-AMG G63
This is a 2025 Mercedes-AMG G63, chassis code 4AA-465250C, offered at USS Tokyo as lot 75166 on 8 October 2026. It was first registered in December 2025 (Reiwa 7), has covered just 6,680 km (approximately 4,151 miles) and carries an overall auction grade of 5 with an interior grade of A. It is a left hand drive, officially imported dealer car with one corporate owner, bought new from AMG Tokyo Setagaya.
The specification is the real draw. The paint is MANUFAKTUR Night Black Magno, a matte finish protected by a Premium EX for Matte Paint coating certificate. Inside is a MANUFAKTUR Bengal Red and Black interior, with the MANUFAKTUR Interior Plus package, the AMG Carbon Fibre interior and exterior packages, a carbon steering wheel, Night package 2 and 22 inch forged alloy wheels. The sheet puts the AMG special options at 3.75 million yen. The auction start price is ¥25,800,000, and the live bidding figures are shown in the price panel on this page.
The Drive Review
The G63 is a car that should not work as well as it does. Underneath the upright, slab sided body is a ladder frame chassis with three locking differentials and a low range transfer case, yet the AMG version pairs that with a hand built 4.0 litre twin turbocharged V8, around 585 PS and 850 Nm of torque. Acceleration from rest to 100 km/h takes in the region of 4.5 seconds, which is startling for something with the aerodynamics of a wardrobe.
The engine is the star. It is the M177 V8, with the turbochargers sitting in the V of the cylinder banks. Torque arrives almost from idle, the throttle response is quick, and the side exit exhausts visible in the photographs give it the deep, slightly theatrical bark the car is known for. The nine speed automatic is smooth in traffic and quick when pushed, and the AMG Performance 4MATIC system sends more drive to the rear than a normal SUV would.
The current G-Class uses independent front suspension, a big change from the old car's rigid front axle, and it transformed the steering and stability. It still feels tall and heavy compared with a modern performance saloon, and it rolls and leans more than a Porsche Cayenne. That is part of the appeal. Buyers want the sense of command, the upright seating and the thunk of the doors, with a supercar engine hidden underneath.

Inspector's report: seat creases, small scratches and small dents. The inspector records no mechanical, engine, transmission, leak, warning light, air conditioning or underbody comments, so none are reported. There is no mention of accident repair or replaced panels.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The diagram has five marks. On the front, the bonnet carries a faint scratch (ウスA), a light surface mark. The windscreen is marked トビA, which means stone chips. On the left side, the front door area has A1, a small scratch. On the right side, the front door area has a faint scratch (ウスA), and the lower rear door or rear quarter area has A1, a small scratch. The panel positions on the right side are approximate.
The inspector's text also mentions small dents, but the diagram carries no dent code, so their location is not confirmed. There are no repair marks, rust, corrosion or replaced panel codes. Overall this is close to collector grade for a modern car: very low mileage, unrepaired and showing only light use marks. Matte paint cannot be polished like gloss, so any scratch deserves a close look in person and through the coating certificate.
Interior Condition
The interior is graded A. The only inspector note is seat creases, which is normal for leather that has been sat on, even at under 7,000 km. The photographs show the red leather dashboard, door cards and seats with contrast stitching, carbon trim, turbine style air vents, red ambient lighting and the touchpad controller on the centre console. The steering wheel looks trim and well kept. No smoke, odour, headlining or dashboard damage is noted on the sheet.
The instrument display in the photographs shows a fuel range of 466 km, an outside temperature of 20.0 degrees and the selector in P. The mileage is not legible in that photograph, so rely on the sheet reading of 6,680 km.
Japanese Auction Grades
Auction grade 5 sits near the top of the scale for a used car and means very good condition with only light marks. Interior grade A is the best interior rating. The exterior grade is also 5. Grades are the inspector's opinion on the day, not a mechanical warranty.
Model History
The G-Class began in 1979 as a Mercedes-Benz military and utility vehicle developed with Steyr Puch in Graz, and the shape has stayed recognisable ever since. AMG built hot versions for decades, including the G55 and the original twin turbo G63. The current generation arrived in 2018 with a new chassis, independent front suspension and a much improved interior, while keeping the square body, exposed door hinges and the audible lock click. The G63 uses the 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 and remains the headline performance model.
The MANUFAKTUR programme is Mercedes' bespoke personalisation service, which explains why this car's colour and interior specification is unusual compared with a standard G63.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
Is the G63 collectible? Limited editions and special specifications certainly are. The G-Class has an unusual history: over four decades of continuous production, genuine off road ability, and a following from military buyers to celebrities and enthusiasts. Demand is global, and the V8 AMG models stand out as the last of their type as the industry moves toward electrification.
This car stands out for its MANUFAKTUR paint and interior, carbon packages, one corporate owner, low mileage and official dealer history. Cars like this are not easy to find in good order, and the buyer is paying for the specification rather than only for the badge. As always, no future value can be guaranteed and this should be bought to be enjoyed, not as an investment.
What To Look For When Buying This Model
On a car this young, the checks are different from an older classic. Inspect the matte paint closely, because it cannot be polished out and repairs are costly, and ask for the coating certificate. Check the wheels and tyres, as 22 inch forged wheels and low profile tyres are expensive. Confirm both keys and all manuals on arrival, as the smart key is being sent later. Check that the electronics, driver assistance, air suspension style features and the infotainment all work, and ask your local Mercedes dealer how the warranty applies in your country, since a Japanese warranty is unlikely to carry over. Finally, check that the car can be registered in your market, including left hand drive rules and emissions regulations.
Why Import This Car From Japan
Japanese auction cars are usually low mileage, carefully used and described in a standard grading system. This G63 has an unusual MANUFAKTUR specification and a recorded service at AMG Tokyo Setagaya, which is difficult to find on the open market elsewhere.

Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but are still used vehicles. The auction sheet is an independent condition guide, not a mechanical warranty. Even a young, low mileage car may need servicing or small repairs after purchase. Please note the inspector's warnings: seat creases, small scratches and small dents, a faint scratch on the bonnet, stone chips on the windscreen, small scratches on the left front door and lower right rear area, and a faint scratch on the right front door. The smart key is to be sent later and the key count is not confirmed.
