Autoselecta auction report
Overview of the Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34
This is a Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 first registered in February 2000, offered at USS Tokyo on 8 October 2026 as lot 25226. It is a white coupe with the six speed manual gearbox and four wheel drive, and the auction sheet records 49,626 km, which is approximately 30,836 miles. It carries an overall auction grade of 4 and an interior grade of B, and the inspector declares it a standard, unmodified car with two owners.
For a BNR34 the mileage is low, the service book is present and the car is described as original. The sheet also lists faults that a buyer should weigh: rust on the underside, cracked headlights, wheel scratches and a number of scratches and dents. This report translates all of it, so you can bid knowing what the inspector saw.
The Drive Review
The BNR34 is the last of the Skyline GT-R line, and it is still one of the great all weather performance cars. The RB26DETT is a 2.6 litre twin turbo straight six with a character modern turbo engines rarely match. It pulls cleanly from low revs, then builds with a hard, metallic edge as it climbs towards the red zone. The factory power claim was the Japanese gentlemen's agreement figure of 280 PS, and everyone knows the real number is higher.
Power reaches the road through the ATTESA E-TS Pro four wheel drive system, which normally sends drive to the rear and shifts torque forwards when grip is needed. Combined with Super HICAS rear steering, it gives a car that turns in sharply and puts power down with real confidence in the wet. The six speed manual is a Getrag unit with a short, mechanical shift that rewards firm inputs. The steering is light compared with a modern performance car, yet it passes on more texture, and the whole car feels like a machine from before drive modes and screens ran everything.
This car's specification suits the way the model is enjoyed. It has the manual gearbox, a low mileage, an unmodified declaration and a service book, so it should feel close to how Nissan intended.

Factory Features and Equipment
The sheet marks genuine alloy wheels, power steering, power windows, an airbag and automatic air conditioning. The photographs show a rear wing, a display screen at the top of the centre console, a three spoke steering wheel, black seats with perforated style centre panels and genuine style floor mats. Fitment of the screen is not confirmed on the sheet, so check its function before relying on it. Tyres are listed for reference as Bridgestone Potenza S007A front and rear, written as BRIDESTONE on the sheet. The battery was replaced in September 2026, also noted for reference.
Documents and keys are clear on the sheet. The new car service book with warranty booklet is marked present. The inspector notes a genuine floor mat set and the master key. The new car warranty booklet, owner's manual, genuine keyless remote and genuine spare key are marked to be sent separately after the sale, so they are not in the car at auction. Plan on confirming their delivery.
Japanese Auction Report Translation
The sheet notes that this is a standard, unmodified car with genuine floor mats and the master key. For reference it is declared as having had two owners, it wears Bridgestone Potenza S007A tyres front and rear, and the battery was replaced in September 2026. The new car warranty booklet and owner's manual, and the genuine keyless remote and genuine spare key, will be sent after the sale.
The inspector's report lists five items. The cabin is dirty with animal hair. There are scratches on the wheels. There is rust on the underside. There are scratches and dents in various places. The headlights are cracked. The sheet gives no comment on engine noise, gearbox operation, oil or coolant leaks or warning lights, so those points are not confirmed either way. A mechanical inspection of the car is advisable on arrival.
One reading on the sheet is uncertain. The colour change box shows only an arrow after the word white, which we read as no colour change, but we cannot be certain. The service book, keys and the other points above are as translated and checked by Autoselecta.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The diagram shows five marks. A2 on the front bumper is a medium scratch, and A2 on the rear bumper is another medium scratch. A3 on the left side near the door is a large scratch. The leader line points to the door area, but the exact panel, front door, rear door or sill, is not certain from the sheet. U1 on the right rear quarter panel is a small dent. P shimi (Pシミ) on the roof is a paint stain or blemish.
The photographs show clean, bright white paintwork and straight panels from every angle, with no visible bodywork repair. The sheet does not show replaced panels or repair marks. The cracked headlights and the underside rust are the more significant inspector comments, and neither can be fully judged from photographs. Overall this reads as a usable, well kept enthusiast car in good original condition, not a perfect collector example. A grade 4 sheet with these marks is a fair description.
Interior Condition
The interior grade is B. The inspector notes the cabin is dirty with animal hair, which a thorough valet should deal with. In the photographs the black seat bolsters look tidy, the dashboard has no visible cracks and the gear lever and gaiter look sound. The odometer photograph shows a reading in line with the sheet's 49,626 km. The photographs also show a tidy centre console with the climate controls and a screen above them. There are no inspector comments on seat damage, headlining or odours beyond the animal hair.
Japanese Auction Grades
Auction grades run from 1 to 5 for overall condition, with 4 meaning a good car with minor wear. The interior grade B sits in the middle of the A to D scale, meaning acceptable wear. Here the inspector's written comments matter as much as the numbers.
Nissan introduced the R34 Skyline in 1998, and the BNR34 GT-R followed in January 1999. It kept the RB26DETT and four wheel drive layout of the R32 and R33, with a stiffer body, a Getrag six speed manual and new aerodynamics. Production ran until 2002, with roughly 11,000 GT-Rs built in total. Special editions such as the V-Spec, V-Spec II, M-Spec, Nür and the final Nismo Z-tune followed. This car is listed simply as GT-R, and the sheet does not name a V-Spec or other package.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
The BNR34 GT-R is one of the defining Japanese performance cars. It was built in limited numbers, it carries the history of the Group A touring car era, and it is the final Skyline GT-R before the car became the separate R35 GT-R. The RB26 engine has a worldwide following, and the manual gearbox and four wheel drive give a driving experience that is increasingly rare. Unmodified, low mileage examples are becoming harder to find in Japan because many were modified or exported long ago, and demand from buyers around the world remains strong. At 25 years old the car also qualifies for United States import. We cannot say what any car will be worth in future, and this report does not suggest an investment.
What To Look For When Buying This Model
Rust is a key check. Inspect the sills, strut towers, rear arches, boot floor and underside, which matches this car's sheet comment on underside rust. Check the RB26 for oil leaks, turbo health, cooling system condition and signs of engine modification. The transfer case and ATTESA system should be checked for correct operation, and the manual gearbox for smooth shifts and clutch feel. Make sure tyres are matched and that the car has no warning lights. Wheel scratches and cracked headlights should be priced into your plans, as headlight units are costly. Finally, confirm the service history, the book and the keys that will arrive after the sale.
Why Import This Car From Japan
Buying from Japan gives access to cars with documented history and honest inspections, often with lower mileage and cleaner underbodies than similar cars elsewhere. This one is a right hand drive domestic market car, with its service book present and its declared standard condition.
USA Import Information

We can calculate the expected purchase price, Japan costs, shipping, customs related costs and delivery requirements. Additional charges will apply, and we do not promise otherwise.
A typical purchase runs from choosing the car and agreeing a maximum bid, through the auction, then payment, deregistration and export paperwork in Japan, then shipping and import clearance in your own country. Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but remain used vehicles. An auction sheet is an independent condition guide, not a mechanical warranty. Older performance cars can need servicing, maintenance or refurbishment after purchase. For this car, remember the inspector's warnings: a dirty cabin with animal hair, wheel scratches, rust on the underside, scratches and dents in various places and cracked headlights. The warranty booklet, manual, keyless remote and spare key are to be sent after the sale, and the colour change box and the exact panel of the left side A3 scratch could not be read with certainty.
