This 2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT36) is for sale at Japanese auction at JU Mie on 6 October 2026, lot 2034. Auction grade 4.5, 23,000 km (about 14,300 miles), automatic, grey. Bids close at 9pm UK time on Monday 5 October.
This 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 4WD is a grade 4.5 auction car with 23,000 km (approximately 14,292 miles) and an automatic gearbox, offered at JU Mie in Japan.
The Gladiator is Jeep's pickup built on the Wrangler's off road formula, and the Rubicon is the trim aimed squarely at rough ground. This JT36 car is finished in gray and has a 3,600 cc engine, paired with the automatic transmission and four wheel drive as the Rubicon 4WD name indicates.
A grade of 4.5 at Japanese auction generally describes a very good car for its age with only light marks. At 23,000 km it has covered a modest distance for a 2022 model. As with every auction car, the translated auction sheet on this page is the place to check the detail, since we have not described condition beyond the grade and the facts shown here.
The car is scheduled for the JU Mie sale on 6 October 2026. It is not eligible for import to the USA. Autoselecta buys cars like this at auction for customers and arranges shipping to the UK and worldwide.

Overview of the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 4WD
This is a July 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 4WD, chassis code 7BF-JT36, offered at JU Mie in Japan as lot 2034 on 6 October 2026. It is a grey double cab pickup with a 3,600 cc petrol engine, automatic transmission and four wheel drive, graded 4.5 overall with an exterior grade of A and an interior grade of B. The odometer is read from the sheet as 23,319 km, approximately 14,490 miles.
The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon is the most capable version of Jeep's modern pickup, and this one has been carefully set up for the trail. It sits on FUEL 17 inch alloy wheels with 35 inch Nitto Trail Grappler tyres, and the photographs show a roof mounted light bar, a heavy front bumper with red recovery hooks, a rear step bumper with tow hitch and a steel rack over the load bed. The damage diagram shows only three small scratches at the front, which makes it a tidy, low mileage example.
The Drive Review
The Gladiator is built on the same basic recipe as the Wrangler, with a longer wheelbase and a five foot load bed behind a four door cab. The 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb ft of torque, and its character is smooth and easy rather than raucous. It pulls cleanly from low revolutions, which suits both towing and slow crawling over rough ground. The automatic on offer in this class is normally an eight speed unit, and it makes the truck far more relaxed on the road than the old manual Jeeps ever were.
What sets the Rubicon apart is its hardware. It has the Rock-Trac four wheel drive system with a very low crawl ratio, locking differentials front and rear, heavy duty Dana 44 axles and an electronic front sway bar disconnect for extra axle movement off road. The transfer lever and the diff and sway bar switches are all visible in the interior photographs. On tarmac a Gladiator is a tall, solid truck with steering that needs a few corrections, and with 35 inch tyres fitted it will ride firmly and feel heavier to turn than a standard Rubicon. Off road, it is far more capable than almost anything with a load bed.
The cabin is the other attraction. A red painted dashboard panel, black leather seats with red stitching, Jeep branded rubber floor mats and a large touchscreen give the Rubicon a rugged but modern feel. Compared with a classic Land Cruiser or an older Defender, it brings comfort, heated seats, cameras and connectivity without losing the removable, adventurous spirit.

Interior: black leather with red stitching and a red dashboard panel, as seen in the photographs. Mileage: 23,319 km as read from the sheet, approximately 14,490 miles. The digits are handwritten in cursive, so the reading carries a small uncertainty.
The sheet does not mark the steering side, but the photographs show a right hand drive cabin. The registration plate is read as Mikawa 100 so 6272, though this is not fully certain. The photographs show the plate numbers 62 72.
Factory Features and Equipment
The equipment box shows power steering, power windows, airbag, navigation, TV and leather. An ABS label is in the box but it cannot be confirmed whether it is circled, so it is not listed. Under sales points the sheet records genuine navigation with full segment digital TV and Bluetooth, a reversing camera, push button start, two smart keys, seat heaters, FUEL 17 inch alloy wheels and automatic powered side steps. Air conditioning is marked AC.
The points to note add Nitto Trail Grappler tyres in size 35x12.50R17, a heated steering wheel, a tow hitch, aftermarket parts fitted, a dash camera, front and rear parking sensors and a front camera. The photographs show the navigation screen with climate controls beneath it, switches for the locking differentials and sway bar, the roof light bar, the bed rack marked Rebel Off Road and the red recovery hooks. The sheet does not list the individual aftermarket items beyond those named above, so any other changes should be confirmed from the photographs and with Autoselecta before bidding.
Japanese Auction Report Translation
The sheet reads as follows. Lot number 2034 (1938). First registration Reiwa 4, July. Model and grade: Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 4WD, with 4WD circled. Chassis code 7BF-JT36. Engine size 3600cc. Auction grade 4.5, exterior A, interior B. Usage history private use. Inspection valid to 14 April Reiwa 9. Odometer 23,319 km, read from handwriting and not certain. Colour grey. Shift AT. Air conditioning AC. Fuel petrol, circled. Recycling fee ¥18,700. New car warranty certificate present, with the mark overwritten and so not certain.
The inspector's report says there are scratches (A) and dents (U) in various places, though the diagram marks only three small A1 scratches. Inside the inspector boxes, exterior scratch and dent appear to be marked, and interior dirt appears to be marked, though which words are circled is hard to confirm. The accident repair history line, with its location field, has not been filled in, so no repair history is recorded.
A separate items box for things supplied after the sale lists the warranty book, the owner's manual and the smart key, although the exact wording of the key entry is unclear. A further note says the key is held by the auction office. Service records are not mentioned on the sheet and are not confirmed. Tyre tread figures of 8 are written at all four wheels, which most likely refers to tread depth, but this is not certain.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The diagram carries three marks, all A1, which means a small scratch. One is at the front left corner, around the left front wing and headlamp area. One is on the left side of the front bumper. The third is on the right side of the front bumper. There are no dents, repainted or replaced panels, rust, corrosion or glass marks on the diagram, and no repair marks.
The photographs agree with a clean, well kept truck, with straight panels and good paint on the sides, rear and bonnet. The heavy front bumper and wheel arch extensions are fitted accessories rather than damage. Overall this is a usable, enthusiast condition vehicle at the better end of the scale for a pickup that is meant to be used, with exterior grade A supporting that view. Underbody condition is not described on the sheet and is not confirmed, so buyers planning serious off road use should ask for further checks.
Interior Condition
The interior is graded B, and the inspector boxes appear to mark dirt. The photographs show black leather front and rear seats with red stitching, a red dashboard panel, a leather wrapped steering wheel, rubber floor mats with Jeep lettering, a large touchscreen with navigation, climate controls and a gear selector with a transfer lever. The seats look well kept, without obvious tears, and the rear bench looks tidy. The rubber mats show normal use and some dirt. The load bed is clean in the photographs and appears to have a bed liner fitted. The odometer reading is not legible in the photographs. No smoke or odour comment appears on the sheet.
Japanese Auction Grades
The overall grade of 4.5 sits just below the top bracket of 5 and indicates a very good vehicle with only light cosmetic marks. Exterior A is the highest exterior mark, and interior B indicates normal wear or light dirt. Grades are an independent guide to condition and not a mechanical warranty.
Jeep revived the pickup in 2019 with the JT Gladiator, the first Jeep truck since the Comanche, built in Toledo, Ohio alongside the Wrangler. It shares its front end, interior design and removable roof and doors with the JL Wrangler, but with a longer wheelbase and a five foot bed. The 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 was the launch engine, and the Rubicon was positioned at the top as the factory trail truck, with Rock-Trac four wheel drive, locking axles and off road tyres. The sheet's model code JT36 and the frame number identify this as an American built Gladiator, delivered to Japan in right hand drive.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
The Gladiator is not yet a classic, but it has a following that few trucks can claim. It is the only open top pickup of its type, it carries a familiar Jeep heritage, and in right hand drive form it is far less common than the left hand drive trucks sold in North America. A low mileage Rubicon from Japan, where cars are typically maintained to a good standard and used lightly, is appealing to buyers in markets that allow right hand drive imports. Values depend on condition, specification and market, and no future value can be promised.
What To Look For When Buying This Model
Buyers should check the front axles and steering for wear, especially on a truck fitted with larger tyres than standard, and look at the suspension, steering linkages, transfer case and differentials for leaks. Wheel and tyre size should be confirmed for local road legality, along with the speedometer calibration, which large tyres can affect. The aftermarket parts should be checked for quality of installation, in particular the roof light bar, the winch style front bumper, the tow hitch and the dash camera wiring. Early Pentastar engines have a known issue with the exhaust manifold and rocker arm, and the eight speed automatic benefits from regular fluid changes. The soft top and roof seals deserve inspection for leaks. Service records are not confirmed on this sheet.
Why Import This Car From Japan
Japanese cars are generally well maintained, lightly used and inspected to a clear standard. This Gladiator has a private use history, relatively low mileage and an auction sheet that shows only small scratches, which is a good starting point for any export buyer.

Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but are still used vehicles. The auction sheet is an independent condition guide and not a mechanical warranty. This Gladiator carries aftermarket parts, large 35 inch tyres and a tow hitch, which may affect road legality and running costs in some countries. The inspector notes scratches and dents in various places and interior dirt. The accident repair line is blank, service history is not confirmed, and the odometer and warranty marks on the sheet are handwritten and not fully certain. Any four wheel drive truck of this type may need servicing or refurbishment after purchase.
