Autoselecta auction report
Overview of the Ferrari 12Cilindri
This Ferrari 12Cilindri is a left hand drive, dealer imported base grade car (7BA-F167) finished in Nero Daytona over white Pelle Bianca leather. It was first registered in October 2025 and shows just 354 km on the odometer, approximately 220 miles. The sheet records a single owner, and this is its first appearance at auction. USS Tokyo has graded it 6 overall with interior grade A, the diagram carries no marks at all, and the inspector notes only a small scuff on a seat edge.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is the brand's naturally aspirated V12 grand tourer, successor to the 812 Superfast. A car this new, this lightly used and this heavily optioned rarely reaches a Japanese auction. The sheet lists an options total of 21.92 million yen, mostly carbon fibre trim, so this is no standard car.
The Drive Review
The 12Cilindri is built around the F140 series 6.5 litre V12, a naturally aspirated engine with no turbochargers. Ferrari quotes 830 CV and a very high rev ceiling, and the engine rewards use of the upper half of the tachometer. Power reaches the road through an eight speed dual clutch gearbox mounted at the rear. The sheet records 2WD, and the car is rear wheel drive.
The front mid engined layout gives the long bonnet, set back cockpit and balanced weight distribution of a classic Ferrari GT. Ferrari claims 0 to 100 km/h in about 2.9 seconds and a top speed beyond 340 km/h, yet the character is that of a fast long distance car as much as a track weapon. The steering is quick, the rear steering and electronic systems keep a large car agile, and the V12 gives a smooth, layered build of sound that turbocharged rivals cannot match.
In this car the cockpit is a modern one. The photographs show a digital instrument cluster with a central tachometer, a separate passenger display, a carbon steering wheel with the manettino and driving controls, and a rear camera view with surround imagery. It differs from the older 812 in having far more screen based interaction, though the gear selector remains a metal gated style lever on the tunnel.
Auction Details

Factory Features and Equipment
The sheet marks sunroof, genuine alloy wheels, power steering, power windows, leather seats and airbags. TV and navigation are not marked. The ovals look neat and printed, so please check these marks with us if they matter to you. The sales points add a glass roof, massage and ventilated seats, an LED carbon steering wheel and an airbrushed logo.
The two option pages are extensive. Carbon fibre appears on the engine cover, filter box cover, front air vents, rear diffuser, outer sill covers, exterior mirror covers, cockpit area, rear boot trim, rear shelf and rear bench trim, with glossy carbon on the door panels, sill kick plates and upper tunnel. Other items include Classic Colour Nero Daytona paint, black sports exhaust tips, black brake calipers, a privacy glass roof, a rear radar, a digital rear view mirror, a heated steering wheel, a suspension lifter, an advanced front driving camera, a surround view system, a high end audio system, an electric boot, wireless charging, adaptive front headlights, Michelin tyres and a passenger display. The interior options include Alcantara carpets, bicolour Nero 8500 leather, a Pelle Bianca special leather interior, shelf and belt leather, a leather central seat area, an aluminium passenger footrest and a seat headrest with the embroidered prancing horse. Wheels are listed both as glossy grey and as matt painted Nero Opaco rims, and the photograph shows dark satin wheels with black calipers over carbon ceramic looking discs.
Japanese Auction Report Translation
The sheet carries the heading Imported Car Prime Corner. It confirms lot 75217, first registration October 2025, grade 6, interior A, 354 km, automatic, air conditioning, petrol fuel, dealer import, left hand steering, two seats and a shaken running to 30 October 2028. A new car service book with warranty booklet is marked present.
The sales points read: first time offered at auction and one owner car; options total 21.92 million yen, with additional images; exterior Nero Daytona; interior Pelle Bianca; airbrushed logo; massage ventilated seats; glass roof; LED carbon steering wheel.
The points to note repeat the carbon list: engine cover and mirror covers; front air vents and filter box cover; rear diffuser and door panels; rear boot trim, rear shelf and upper tunnel; outer sill covers and rear bench trim; cockpit area and sill kick plates. The sheet also says the owner's manual, warranty booklet, spare key and charger are marked as being sent separately after the sale. They are not supplied with the car at auction.
The inspector's report reads, in full, small scuff on seat edge. The sheet does not say which seat. Nothing else is recorded: no engine, gearbox, air conditioning, electrical or leak comments, and no accident repair. The transfer document expiry box is blank, and the spare wheel circle on the diagram is unmarked.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The damage diagram has no marks or codes. There are no scratches, dents, repair marks, replaced panels, rust or glass cracks recorded anywhere on the body. Exterior grade 6 with a clean diagram is consistent with a delivery mileage car. The photographs show deep black paint, carbon trim at the sill, and a wheel with no visible kerb marks, though they are not a full body survey.
Overall this is collector grade condition for a current Ferrari, bearing in mind it is a nearly new car and not a restored one.
Interior Condition
Interior grade A. The only inspector comment is the small scuff on a seat edge. In photograph 1 the steering wheel still wears its protective plastic cover. The white leather seats, which feature black contrast panels, look clean in the photographs, and the carbon trim and floor mats look unworn. Smell, headlining and other items are not mentioned on the sheet, so they are not confirmed beyond what the images show.
Japanese Auction Grades
Grade 6 on the Japanese scale is a very high mark for a used car, close to new condition with only slight imperfections. Interior grade A is the top interior mark. Together they describe a car in excellent order with only the small seat edge scuff to note.
Ferrari revealed the 12Cilindri in 2024 as the replacement for the 812 Superfast. The name is Italian for twelve cylinders. The body draws on the long bonnet front engined V12 coupes of the 1960s, and the Nero Daytona paint chosen here nods to the 365 GTB/4 Daytona. The same engine, a 6.5 litre V12 without turbocharging, is used in the open car, the 12Cilindri Spider. Ferrari's decision to keep this engine unboosted made the model a talking point as the industry moved towards smaller engines and electrification.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
Is the Ferrari 12Cilindri collectible? The case rests on the engine. A naturally aspirated Ferrari V12 with a high rev limit is an endangered configuration, and enthusiasts expect this to be among the last of its kind in a front engined road car. Ferrari V12 flagships such as the 550, 575, 599 and 812 have long drawn serious buyers, and the market for low mileage examples tends to be strong.
This car adds rarity of specification. It is a one owner car with 354 km, with a long list of carbon options, Classic Colour paint and an airbrushed logo. Left hand drive dealer import cars from Japan often arrive carefully maintained and well documented. No one can guarantee future values, and this should be bought to enjoy, not as an investment.
What To Look For When Buying This Ferrari 12Cilindri
The car is new, so the questions are about paperwork, protection and specification. Start with the service book and warranty booklet. The sheet marks the new car service book present, but the manual, warranty booklet and spare key come later, so confirm the warranty position with the Ferrari importer in your country, as cover for a Japanese dealer import car may differ.
On this model, check the front lip and underside if the suspension lifter is used, as low speed scrapes are the usual damage to a low Ferrari. Carbon ceramic brakes are a costly wear item if the car is ever driven hard, so ask for current pad and disc condition, though at 354 km they should be as new. The matt painted rims can mark more easily than gloss, and the white leather will need care against dye transfer from dark clothing. Look at the seat edge scuff when the car arrives, and make sure software and navigation are updated to suit your own market.
Why Import This Car From Japan
Japan produces some of the cleanest, lowest mileage and best documented used performance cars in the world, and dealer imported Ferraris are often kept in sealed condition. Direct access to the auction lets you see the sheet before you bid, and this car is particularly rare for its mileage.
Ultimate Guide For Japanese Imports
Once the car is won, it is cleared for export, shipped and registered according to the rules of your own country. Left hand drive suits most export markets. Please ask us about duties, compliance and homologation in your country before bidding.
Autoselecta gives you direct access to Japanese auctions, translated and checked auction sheets, vehicle sourcing, bidding assistance, export handling, shipping and import support where you live, with tracking where available and clear communication throughout. Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but are still used vehicles. The auction sheet is an independent condition guide, not a mechanical warranty. Even a delivery mileage Ferrari may need servicing and setup after purchase. Please note the inspector's warning of a small scuff on a seat edge, and that the manual, warranty booklet, spare key and charger are sent separately after the sale. The sheet does not record any other fault, and the photographs do not replace a personal inspection.
