Overview of the Mercedes-AMG G63 AMG Special Order
This Mercedes-AMG G63 is offered at USS Tokyo as lot 75195 on 15 October 2026. It is a September 2020 car from the W463A generation, chassis code 3BA-463276, finished in Diamond White pearl (colour code 799) with the AMG Night Package and matt black 22 inch wheels. The odometer reads 39,850 kilometres, approximately 24,762 miles. The auction grade is 4.5, the interior grade is B, and the sheet records a dealer import in right hand drive with a new car service book and dealer inspection records for 2021 to 2025.
The diagram shows only small A1 scratches. The inspector notes scuffed steering wheel and seats, wheel scratches and a tonneau cover that may be missing. For a G63 with this mileage and this much documented history, that is a very short list.
The Drive Review: What a G63 Feels Like
The G63 is a ladder frame, three locking differential off roader that happens to have a hand built twin turbo V8 under the bonnet. The 4.0 litre engine delivers 585 PS and 850 Nm, and it arrives with a mixture of thunder and ease. Power comes in as a long, heavy surge rather than a sharp spike, and the AMG exhaust, with its side exit pipes just ahead of the rear wheels (visible on this car), gives it a deep, crackling voice that no other SUV quite matches.
The nine speed automatic shifts quickly and, in the sportier modes, with real attitude. Compared with the older G63, the W463A is a far better road car. It has independent front suspension in place of the old rigid axle, rack and pinion steering and adaptive damping, which this car lists in its points to note. It is still a tall, upright, boxy machine. You sit high, the view over the square bonnet is commanding, and it never feels like a crossover. It rolls, it leans and it asks for respect on a twisty road, but straight line performance is genuinely supercar quick for something shaped like a wardrobe.
That is the appeal. Modern luxury, a Burmester sound system and heated seats sit alongside a clunking door latch, bolt on fender flares and a spare wheel on the tailgate.

Factory Features and Equipment
The sheet lists the following sales points: bought directly from a private owner, AMG Special Order vehicle, AMG Night Package, AMG matt black 22 inch alloy wheels, Alpine digital rear view mirror, glass sliding roof, Burmester surround sound system and blacked out badges.
The points to note add genuine navigation, full segment digital TV, a 360 degree camera monitor, black leather seats, power seats with memory, heated seats on all seats, a dash camera (the SD card is missing), the radar safety system, adaptive damping, the AMG exhaust system and AMG red brake calipers. The photographs show the wide digital instrument display, turbine style air vents, ambient lighting, red calipers behind the wheels and the gloss black spare wheel cover. Air conditioning is marked AAC, automatic air conditioning.
The equipment box on the sheet (sunroof, original alloys, power steering, power windows, leather, TV, navigation, airbags) cannot be read as separately marked, because every label has the same printed oval. It is therefore not used here to confirm anything.
Japanese Auction Report Translation
The sheet reads as follows. Lot 75195. First registration Reiwa 2, September. Engine 4000 cc. Chassis code 3BA-463276. Model Mercedes-AMG G63, 5 door, grade G63 AMG Special Order, 4WD. Evaluation 4.5, interior B. Shaken to 26 September 2027. Transmission CAT, an automatic. Odometer 39,850 km. Air conditioning AAC. Original colour pearl, with the colour change column showing only an arrow. Colour number 799. Fuel petrol. New car service book with warranty booklet: present. Dealer import, right hand drive, recycling deposit ¥19,840, five seats.
The inspector's report says: steering wheel and seats scuffed, half leather, tonneau cover missing with a question mark, wheel scratches, small scratches.
The sheet states that dealer inspection records are present for Reiwa 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, which is 2021 to 2025. The ETC 2.0, warranty booklet, owner's manual, spare key and books are all marked as arriving at a later date. In practice that means they are not confirmed as present with the car, and the spare key in particular should be asked about before bidding. The new car service book is marked present. No engine, gearbox, oil leak, rust, warning light or accident repair comments are written on the sheet.
One extra observation comes from the photographs. The instrument cluster displays a message reading 28 days exceeded (28日 超過しました). The sheet does not explain it, so its cause is not confirmed.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The diagram shows three marks, all A1, meaning small scratch. One is on the front bumper. The second points into the right side door area. The third sits on the outer strip of the right side, probably the sill or side step. The inspector was not certain of the exact panels for the two right side marks. There are no dents, repair marks, replaced panels, rust or paint mismatch recorded.
The photographs show clean white paintwork, straight panels and consistent gaps, with the front and rear bumpers, black flares and gloss black accents looking tidy. The inspector separately notes wheel scratches and unspecified small scratches. Overall this is a very good, usable enthusiast car close to collector grade, with only light cosmetic marks.
Interior Condition
The interior is graded B, a good used grade. The inspector records the steering wheel and seats as scuffed, which is typical wear on a vehicle with nearly 40,000 kilometres. The note half leather appears as well, and the tonneau cover may be missing. The photographs show a black interior with brushed metal trim, blue ambient lighting, the gear selector on the centre console and a paper floor mat on the passenger side. The dashboard, door cards and centre console look intact in the images supplied. The instrument display, with its AMG and V8 Biturbo markings, looks clear. The odometer is not visible in the photograph. Smell, smoke and headlining condition are not mentioned on the sheet.
Japanese Auction Grades
A grade of 4.5 sits just below the top of the scale and describes a car with very little wrong with it. Interior grade B means normal, light wear. Together they point to a well presented example, but you should still read the inspector comments above.
Model History of the Mercedes-AMG G63
The G-Class began in 1979 as a military and utility vehicle, developed with Steyr Puch in Graz, Austria. It has been built there ever since, with its shape barely changed. AMG versions arrived in the 2000s, and the G63 name came with the twin turbo V8 in 2012. The W463A generation launched in 2018 with a new chassis, independent front suspension and the current 4.0 litre engine. The Special Order tag on this sheet reflects the optional AMG personalisation available on the G63, in this case with night styling and matt black wheels.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
The G63 is one of the few cars where genuine off road ability, hand assembly and AMG power are packaged together in a shape that has not been fashionable and unfashionable, simply constant. Production is steady but demand has outpaced supply for years, and dealer imported right hand drive cars from Japan with a documented service history are an appealing source. Low kilometres, a full dealer record and a clean sheet are the combination buyers pay attention to. Nothing here is a guarantee of future value, and this car should be bought because you want to drive it.
What To Look For When Buying This Model
Start with the paperwork. The sheet lists the spare key, manual, warranty booklet and books as later, so confirm what will come with the car. Dealer records for 2021 to 2025 are listed, and it is worth checking what was actually done at each visit and the date of the last service, especially given the 28 day exceeded message in the cluster.
On this generation, check the adaptive damping and air conditioning for faults, and listen for any noise from the front axle and steering. Confirm the gearbox shifts cleanly through all modes and that the three locking differentials, if you will use them, engage properly. The big AMG brakes and 22 inch wheels are expensive to refresh, so inspect the rotors and the wheel scratches the inspector noted. Test the electronics, including the 360 degree camera, the Alpine digital mirror, the digital display and the Burmester system. Look at the right side sill and door for the A1 scratches, and ask about the tonneau cover and the dash camera SD card.
Why Import This Car From Japan
Japanese dealer cars are usually maintained to a high standard, driven gently and recorded in detail, and this one comes with five years of dealer inspection entries. The independent auction sheet gives you a clear picture before you commit.

Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but are still used vehicles. An auction sheet is an independent condition guide, not a mechanical warranty. A performance SUV like the G63 may need servicing, brakes, tyres or other maintenance after purchase. Please note the inspector's warnings again: scuffed steering wheel and seats, wheel scratches, small scratches including the A1 marks on the front bumper and right side, a possibly missing tonneau cover, the missing dash camera SD card, and the spare key, manual, warranty booklet, ETC 2.0 and books marked as later. The 28 day exceeded cluster message is also unexplained.
