Overview of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 ZX
This is a Toyota Land Cruiser 250 ZX, chassis code GDJ250W, first registered in September 2025 and offered at USS Kyushu as lot 53030. It is a 2.8 litre turbodiesel, four wheel drive, floor shift automatic, seven seat station wagon finished in original beige 2, colour code 2ZC. The sheet records just 755 km, which is approximately 469 miles, so this is a nearly new Toyota Land Cruiser 250 with one owner. It carries auction grade 6 and interior grade A.
The Land Cruiser 250 is the modern, slightly more compact successor to the Prado line, and the ZX is the top trim. This one is loaded with the Modellista package, JBL sound, a panoramic view monitor and leather seats with heating and ventilation. The photographs show a right hand drive car, although the steering side box on the sheet is blank.
The Drive Review
The 250 rides on a ladder frame chassis, which is the reason it matters to people who actually use their vehicles off the tarmac. Toyota went back towards the boxy, upright shape of the older Land Cruisers, with a flat bonnet, a short overhang and a tall glasshouse. You sit high and see the corners of the car.
The GDJ250W uses the 2.8 litre four cylinder turbodiesel, the 1GD-FTV, paired with an eight speed automatic. Its character is torque rather than rev. It pulls cleanly from low engine speed, which suits towing, loaded touring and slow technical ground. It is not a fast car in the sports sense, but it is relaxed and unstressed, and that is exactly what an expedition vehicle should be. Steering is electrically assisted and lighter than the old hydraulic systems, which makes town driving easy, and the chassis is tuned for comfort and traction rather than outright cornering. Against a modern crossover it feels more solid, taller and more mechanical, with real ground clearance and a part time style four wheel drive mindset behind the electronics.
The cluster photograph shows the digital display in park with radar cruise mode text in Japanese and a fuel range reading of 310 km. That tells us the car had been powered up for the photograph, but it does not replace the sheet odometer figure of 755 km.
Auction Details
The car is being sold at USS Kyushu in the Prime RV and D corner, lot number 53030, on the auction date supplied of 17 October 2026. The sheet also carries a handwritten line that appears to read first choice Golden Prime and D, partly cut off, and we cannot read it with certainty. The auction start price is ¥6,480,000.
The Autoselecta guide bidding range is £33,000 to £36,500. Similar cars sold at Japanese auctions show 12 results between £35,510 and £38,074, typically about £36,379, although that range includes other versions and conditions. The guide is an estimated bidding range based on past results, not a guaranteed purchase price, and we cannot say the car will sell within it. For the minimum bid and the delivered cost to your country, please use the price panel on this page, which is calculated live.
All bids must be submitted before 9PM UK time the evening before auction.
Vehicle Specifications
Manufacturer Toyota, model Land Cruiser 250, grade ZX, model code 3DA-GDJ250W, frame number GDJ250-0024555. Engine size 2,800 cc, fuel diesel, drive 4WD, transmission floor automatic, body five door with seven seats. First registered September 2025 (Reiwa 7). The sheet shows an odometer reading of 755 km, approximately 469 miles, while the feed rounded it to 1,000 km, so the sheet figure is the one to rely on. Exterior colour is original beige 2, colour code 2ZC, with no colour change. In the photographs the roof appears to be a lighter grey than the body, but the sheet does not describe a two tone finish. The registration plate reads Kagoshima 332 ra 250. The vehicle inspection (shaken) is valid to 29 September 2028. The recycling deposit is ¥14,230. The sheet also notes the dimensions box as length 492 cm, width 198 cm, height 193 cm.
Factory Features and Equipment
The sales points on the sheet are one owner, genuine 12.3 inch display audio, the Modellista package, Modellista signature illumination, a digital inner mirror, blind spot monitor, ETC, a JBL sound system and a panoramic view monitor. The points to note add Toyota Teammate driver assistance, a power tailgate, leather seats with seat heaters and seat ventilation. Automatic air conditioning is marked on the sheet.
The photographs show roof rails, side steps, dark alloy wheels, a grille with a Toyota badge and small amber lights across it, and what look like auxiliary lamps at the front corners of the bonnet. We cannot say from the sheet whether these lamps belong to the Modellista package. The equipment box (sunroof, genuine alloys, power steering, power windows, leather, TV, navigation, airbags) shows only printed labels with no hand marks, so none of these are confirmed from that box. Sat nav is not confirmed. Spare key and number of keys are not mentioned on the sheet. A small blue item and what looks like a key sit on the front passenger seat in the interior photograph, but we cannot tell what they are.
Japanese Auction Report Translation
The sheet gives grade 6 and interior grade A. The new car maintenance booklet with warranty card is marked present. The sheet notes that the warranty booklet and owner's manual are to be sent on later, as written. The inspector's report reads, in translation, small scratches and light dirt in the cabin. No other fault, warning, leak, mechanical comment, accident repair or replaced panel is written on the sheet. Nothing is recorded about engine noise, the gearbox, air conditioning, tyres or the underbody, so we cannot confirm anything on those points. This translation was produced and checked by Autoselecta, and the bottom of the sheet is cut off below the dimensions box, so any further text there could not be read.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The diagram carries a single marking. It is the letter A, placed on the roof or cabin area just left of centre. A means a scratch, and because no size number is written beside it, it is a plain scratch rather than A1 small or A3 large. The dot sits inside the cabin outline, so we cannot tell whether the inspector means the roof panel or something inside the cabin, and it is probably linked to the cabin scratches in the written report.
There are no dents, repair marks, rust, corrosion, replaced panels or glass cracks marked. In the photographs the paintwork looks clean and glossy from the front, rear, side and three quarter angles, with the black plastic wheel arch and bumper trim looking tidy. Overall this is close to collector grade for a modern car, and in practice it is a nearly new, ready to use example.
Interior Condition
Interior grade A is the top mark. The photograph shows brown leather seats with pale stitching, a wide centre armrest, a flat dashboard, a large central screen, a digital instrument cluster and rubber style floor mats. It looks tidy, and the inspector's own remark of small scratches and light dirt in the cabin is the only point recorded. The sheet does not mention smoke, odours, headlining marks or seat damage.
Japanese Auction Grades
Japanese auction grades run from 6 at the top for a nearly new vehicle, down through 5, 4.5, 4 and lower, with R or RA for repaired cars. Grade 6 here means the inspector found very little to criticise, and interior A is the best interior mark.
Model History
Toyota introduced the Land Cruiser 250 in 2023 as the successor to the Land Cruiser Prado, taking the number 250 and sitting below the full size 300 Series. Diesel versions came to Japan with the 2.8 litre engine and an eight speed automatic. The look is a deliberate return to the straight lined 70 and 80 era shapes, but underneath it is a very current vehicle with electronic aids, a large screen and a full safety package. The ZX is the highest grade, and seven seats is how Japan lists it here.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
The Land Cruiser name carries more trust than almost any other in the world. Used examples have been in short supply because demand for Toyota's new off roaders has been far higher than the supply to private buyers in Japan, and long waits and allocation systems have kept prices up. A car with only 755 km and one owner gives a buyer an unused car without that wait. Added to that are the diesel engine, the ladder frame, the upright design and the trusted reputation of the badge. We would not call any car an investment, and values may move either way, but this model has plainly strong global demand and is hard to source from Japan in this condition.
What To Look For When Buying This Model
Because the car is so new, the checks are mostly about the diesel details and the electronics. On the 1GD-FTV, ask for a full service record and watch the diesel particulate filter regeneration behaviour, as constant short trips are the usual cause of trouble on any modern diesel. Check the AdBlue system if the car is fitted with one in your market, because emissions equipment and fuel quality rules differ widely by country. Test the driver assistance and radar cruise functions, the panoramic view cameras and the digital inner mirror, as these are the systems that generate the most questions on new Toyotas. Check the power tailgate and the seat ventilation, which are listed on the sheet. For this particular car, ask for photographs of the roof to see the A mark and of the cabin scratches the inspector mentions, and confirm that the warranty booklet and manual arrive as noted, since the sheet says they are being sent later. Warranty coverage on a Japanese market car does not normally carry across borders, so do not assume it does.
Why Import This Car From Japan
A Japanese domestic market diesel Land Cruiser 250 of 2025 has full Japanese grade inspection, a known one owner history and a documented new car maintenance booklet. Buying direct gives access to ZX equipment such as Modellista and JBL audio that may be hard to find elsewhere.
Ultimate Guide For Japanese Imports
Check your own country's rules on age, emissions, right hand drive registration and diesel particulate or AdBlue requirements before you bid, because these vary widely. Autoselecta can talk you through the documents needed for export and the stages that follow once the car is won.
Why Import Through Autoselecta
Autoselecta gives you direct access to Japanese auctions, full auction sheet translation, bidding assistance, vehicle sourcing, export handling, shipping, tracking where available, and import support when the car arrives in your country. Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but are still used vehicles. The sheet is an independent condition guide and not a mechanical warranty. For this car, the inspector notes small scratches and light dirt in the cabin and one A scratch mark on the roof or cabin area, and the warranty booklet and manual are to be sent later. Spare key, number of keys and navigation are not confirmed. Even a nearly new vehicle may need servicing or checking after shipping, so please allow for this after purchase.
