Overview of the Mercedes-AMG G63 Edition Magno
This is a 2023 Mercedes-AMG G63 Edition Magno, offered at USS Kyushu as lot 83019 on 17 October 2026. It is a right hand drive, 4WD automatic with the 4.0 litre twin turbocharged V8, finished in matte white and showing 11,678 km on the auction sheet, which is approximately 7,256 miles. The sheet grades it 5 overall with an interior grade of A, and records a new car service book with warranty booklet.
The sheet's sales point is the one that matters most to collectors: it is marked as a limited edition, one of 120 units. Add a dealer import history, private use before auction and very light inspector comments, and this is a clean, low mileage G63 in a specification that will not appear often in Japan.
The Drive Review
The G63 takes the upright, boxy Geländewagen shape and gives it a hand assembled AMG V8 with a deep, bassy voice and side exit exhausts that sit beside the sills. The 4.0 litre twin turbo engine produces 585 PS and 850 Nm, and it pulls hard from low revs. A nine speed automatic keeps the delivery smooth, and the car feels much quicker than its shape suggests.
Underneath, the current generation G-Class keeps its ladder frame and a solid rear axle, but gained independent front suspension in 2018, which transformed road manners over the older car. AMG adds adaptive damping, so it settles on the motorway and stays composed far better than a tall off roader should. Permanent four wheel drive and three locking differentials remain, so it is still a properly capable machine away from tarmac.
It is not a light or delicate car, and it does not feel like a modern low slung performance saloon. The steering is deliberate, the driving position is high and commanding, and the body leans a little when pushed. That is part of the charm. It feels like a vault door with a supercar engine, and nothing else drives quite like it.

Vehicle Specifications
The sheet gives the manufacturer and model as Mercedes-AMG G-Class, grade G63 Edition Magno, chassis code 3BA-463276 and frame number W1N4632762X476977. First registration is June 2023 (Reiwa 5). Engine size is 4000 cc, fuel is petrol, the transmission is an automatic and the drive is 4WD. Steering is right hand drive and the car was imported through a dealer. The colour is matte white, factory colour code 659.
The odometer reads 11,678 km, approximately 7,256 miles. The registration certificate dimensions are 466 cm long, 198 cm wide and 197 cm high. The recycling deposit is ¥18,428. The shaken expiry reads Reiwa 10 (2028), June, but there is extra writing after the month that cannot be read, so treat the date as not certain. The vehicle history is listed as private use. The plate is Kumamoto 331 with a kana character that is not certain, then 585.
Factory Features and Equipment
The sheet marks a sunroof, genuine alloy wheels, power steering, leather, TV, navigation and airbags, plus automatic climate control. The photographs show black multi spoke alloy wheels with red brake calipers, a spare wheel cover on the tailgate with a G63 badge, and a V8 Biturbo badge on the front wing.
Inside, the photographs show a wide screen digital cockpit, an AMG steering wheel, quilted light leather seats, ambient lighting and a centre console with the gear selector. The power windows label on the sheet is unclear, so it is not confirmed from the sheet. Items not listed, such as the sound system or the camera package, are not confirmed.
Japanese Auction Report Translation
The inspector's report records four points. Seat wrinkles and scuffing. Small scratches on a door mirror. Wheel scratches. Small scratches. There is no mention of engine, transmission, air conditioning or electrical faults, and no comment on accident repair, repainting, rust or underbody.
The points to note box appears to read that the spare key is missing, with a mark before it that looks like a circled 9. The handwriting is not certain, so check this with us before bidding. The sales point box says limited edition, one of 120 units. The service box confirms the new car service book with warranty booklet is present. The spare tyre diagram is blank. A circled K appears beside the inspector's report heading, but its meaning is not certain. Other small handwriting in the lot number box cannot be read.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The diagram shows two marks. An A at the top of the drawing, at the front bumper area, means a scratch, with no size grade given. An A1 on the right side, around the rear door and possibly the rear quarter, means a small scratch, though its exact position is not certain. There are no dent, repair, repaint, rust or replaced panel marks.
The photographs show clean, even matte white paint, tidy panel gaps and black wheel arch extensions. That fits the inspector's light cosmetic notes. The car looks like a very tidy, low mileage example in near collector condition, with the small scratches, mirror marks and wheel scratches of a car that has been used rather than stored.
Interior Condition
The interior grade is A. The inspector notes seat wrinkles and scuffing, which is the normal result of getting in and out of a high seat, and the quilted light leather in the photographs appears clean and intact. The dashboard, door cards, centre console and steering wheel look tidy in the images. A small item and some paperwork sit on the seats and floor in the photographs and are not part of the car. Smell, headlining condition and rear seat condition are not confirmed on the sheet.
Photograph 6 shows the digital instrument display with the speedometer at zero. The sheet odometer reading of 11,678 km is the figure to rely on.
Japanese Auction Grades
Auction grades run from 1 to 5, with grade 5 at the top for a very low mileage car in outstanding condition. This G63 is grade 5 overall with an interior grade of A, and the feed lists an exterior grade of 5. The grade is an independent inspector's opinion on the day, not a guarantee.
Model History
The Geländewagen began in 1979 as a military and utility vehicle, and the W463 car ran for nearly three decades on essentially the same boxy body. AMG began building G-Class models in the 1990s and the G63 arrived with a hand built twin turbo V8 in 2012. The current W463A generation launched in 2018, keeping the shape but with a new frame, independent front suspension and a modern cabin. The 4.0 litre V8 replaced the earlier 5.5 litre engine in the G63. The car is built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
The G-Class has an unusual standing in the market. It is still in production, yet the shape is unchanged in spirit since 1979, and the G63 sits at the very top of the range. Limited editions are the cars most sought after by collectors, and this one is marked as one of 120 units on the sheet. Rarity and condition are what count here.
A right hand drive dealer import with very low mileage, matte white paint and a service book is far harder to find than a standard car. Enthusiasts value the hand assembled V8, the analogue feel of the locking differentials and the sheer presence of the car. We do not call it an investment, and values can move either way, but good examples are becoming harder to source from Japan.
What To Look For When Buying This Model
On the G63, start with the service record. The book is present on this car, so ask us for any dealer stamps visible on the images. A twin turbo V8 of this output needs regular oil changes and careful warm up, and big brakes and wide tyres are expensive to replace, so check pad and disc wear and the age and brand of the tyres.
Check the operation of the three differential locks and the low range switch if you intend to use the car off road, and test the adaptive dampers for leaks or harshness. Electronics are complex, so run through the widescreen displays, driver assistance, cameras, sunroof and climate control. Look carefully at the door fit and the body seals for wind noise, as the upright body is sensitive to alignment.
On this car, ask about the scratches on the wheels, which can be refinished, the small marks on the mirror and the front scratch. Matte paint cannot be polished like gloss paint and needs specialist care, so look closely at the front scratch and the right side A1 mark in the photographs.
Why Import This Car From Japan
Japanese cars are usually driven gently, serviced by dealers and inspected in detail at auction, and this one has a documented service book, low mileage and a clear sheet. Importing it gives you access to a limited edition that is rarely seen outside Japan. Check your own country's import, emissions and registration rules before bidding.
Ultimate Guide For Japanese Imports
The process runs from choosing a car and reading its sheet, to bidding, payment, export paperwork, shipping and local registration. The right hand drive layout will be an advantage in some markets and a consideration in others, so check what your country allows before you commit.
Why Import Through Autoselecta
Autoselecta gives you direct access to Japanese auctions, translated and checked auction sheets, vehicle sourcing, bidding assistance, export handling, shipping and import support in your own country. We stay in touch throughout, and can track the vehicle where tracking is available. Savings depend on the car and market, and we make no promise of them.

Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but remain used vehicles, and the sheet is an independent condition guide rather than a mechanical warranty. Please note the inspector's remarks on seat wrinkles and scuffing, door mirror scratches, wheel scratches and small scratches, the front scratch and A1 mark on the diagram, and the note that appears to say the spare key is missing, though the handwriting is not certain. The shaken expiry date is also not certain. A performance SUV of this type may need servicing, tyres, brakes or refurbishment after purchase.
