Overview of the Ferrari F12tdf
This is a September 2017 Ferrari F12tdf, chassis code ABA-F152ACL, offered at USS Tokyo as lot 65288 on 22 October 2026. It is a left hand drive dealer import finished in red, with an automatic gearbox, a 6,300 cc petrol V12 and just 2,615 km on the odometer, which is approximately 1,625 miles. The auction grade is 5 with interior grade A, the damage diagram is completely clean and the inspector has written no condition comments.
The Ferrari F12tdf is the most extreme road going front engined V12 Ferrari of its generation, and this example arrives with a long list of Tailor Made carbon fibre and livery choices. Few cars of this calibre reach Japanese auctions with such low use, so it deserves a close read.
The Drive Review
The F12tdf took the F12berlinetta and sharpened almost every part of it. The 6.3 litre V12 was reworked to produce 780 PS and is happy to spin to roughly 8,500 rpm, so the character is that of a very large, very fast naturally aspirated engine rather than a turbocharged grand tourer. Throttle response is immediate, and the sound builds from a hard edged baritone to a howl near the limiter.
Power goes to the rear wheels through a seven speed dual clutch automatic with paddle shifters, which is the only gearbox offered. The big technical story is the rear wheel steering, which Ferrari called Virtual Short Wheelbase. It makes the long nosed coupe turn in with surprising speed and gives the car a darting, compact feel that the dimensions of 465 cm long and 196 cm wide do not suggest. The steering is quick, the body control is firm, and the car rewards confident, committed driving.
Compared with a modern turbocharged supercar, it asks more of the driver. It is loud, edgy at the limit and mechanical. That is exactly why enthusiasts value it.

Japanese Auction Report Translation
The sheet confirms first registration in September 2017, the model name Ferrari F12tdf, 6,300 cc, chassis code ABA-F152ACL, coupe body, grade field blank, 2WD, evaluation 5, interior sub grade A, shaken valid until 24 October 2026, odometer 2,615 km, automatic, automatic air conditioning, petrol, left hand drive and dealer import. Seating capacity is two.
The new car service book with warranty booklet is marked as present. The line for the spare key, owner's manual and charger is marked 後日, meaning at a later date. The sheet does not say whether these items are with the car, so treat them as not confirmed, and ask us before bidding if they matter to you. The charger is not described further on the sheet.
There are no inspector comments and no marked faults, repairs, warnings or leaks. The cargo bed dimension box is blank. Equipment and Tailor Made items are translated in full above.
Damage Diagram and Body Condition
The vehicle diagram has no marks at all. There are no scratch, dent, repair, repaint, rust, corrosion or glass codes anywhere on the body. That agrees with the exterior grade of 5 and with the photographs, which show glossy red paintwork, clean carbon fibre trim and unmarked alloy wheels. The images do show a front lip and side sill extensions with no obvious damage, although photographs cannot replace an inspection in person.
Overall, this is collector grade condition for its age and mileage, as far as the sheet and the images allow us to say. The underside is not described, so it is not confirmed beyond the lack of any inspector warning.
Interior Condition
The interior is graded A. The photographs show red upholstery across the dashboard, seats and door areas, carbon fibre trim around three circular air vents, a flat bottomed steering wheel with paddles and a compact gear selector on the centre console. The instrument cluster in the last photograph shows the odometer area and a navigation screen with Japanese menu items. The sheet records no smoke, odour, seat damage or dashboard damage. The interior colour is not written on the sheet.
Japanese Auction Grades
Grade 5 is a very high auction score, normally for a car with almost no visible flaws. Interior grade A is the top interior mark. Together with a blank diagram, they describe a car in exceptional condition for its age.
Model History
Ferrari revealed the F12tdf in 2015 as a tribute to the Tour de France Automobile endurance races won by the 250 GT in the 1950s and early 1960s. It was built on the F12berlinetta, whose V12 front engined layout it keeps, and production was limited to 799 cars. Weight was cut, aerodynamics were reworked, and the engine and gearbox were retuned. Its chassis code, F152, is shared with the standard F12.
Why This Model Has Become Collectible
The F12tdf is a limited run, special series Ferrari, the last of the traditional front engined V12 Ferraris before turbocharging and hybrid technology changed the format. Enthusiasts value the naturally aspirated engine, the rear wheel steering, the raw character and the link to Ferrari's racing past. Very low mileage examples are scarce, and one from Japan with a complete Tailor Made specification is rarer still. We do not make predictions about future value, and this should not be treated as an investment. Buy it because you want to drive and own it.
Because the car is only nine years old, import rules differ widely between countries. Please check the rules in your own country before bidding.
What To Look For When Buying This Model
For the F12tdf, a full Ferrari service record matters most. The dual clutch gearbox should shift cleanly at low speed and during parking manoeuvres, and clutch wear should be assessed. Check the Ferrari Magneride damper operation and the carbon ceramic brakes for wear, since replacement is costly. The aggressive aero parts, such as the front lip and underbody carbon, scrape easily on ramps, and this car has a suspension lifter that should be tested. Check the V12 for the usual items: leaks, correct fluid levels, and any warnings on the digital cluster.
On this car, the sheet marks the spare key, owner's manual and charger as 後日, so confirm them before bidding. The Tailor Made carbon parts and special paint are rare, so check that the details match the sheet. The shaken ends on 24 October 2026, two days after the auction, so plan on exporting rather than driving it in Japan.
Why Import This Car From Japan
Japanese dealer imports often come with low mileage, complete service books and strict grading. A transparent sheet with a clean diagram makes this F12tdf easier to judge from abroad than most.
Ultimate Guide For Japanese Imports
Choose the car, set a maximum bid, and we bid for you at auction. If we win, we collect the car, handle export paperwork and arrange shipping to a port near you. You then complete import registration under your own country's rules, which vary, so check emissions, safety and age requirements early.
Why Import Through Autoselecta
Autoselecta gives you direct access to Japanese auctions, with auction sheets translated and checked by Autoselecta staff. We help with sourcing, bidding, export handling, shipping and tracking where available, and we support you with arrival and import steps in your country. We stay in contact throughout, and we make no promises about savings.

Auction Caution
Auction cars are inspected before sale but remain used vehicles. An auction sheet is an independent condition guide, not a mechanical warranty. A supercar such as the F12tdf may need servicing or maintenance after purchase, whatever the mileage. Please note again that the spare key, owner's manual and charger are marked 後日 and not confirmed as present, and that the sheet records no inspector comments and no marks on the diagram. Photographs cannot show mechanical condition, so ask us about anything that matters before you place a bid.
